This year we start "Curious Minds" in earnest having trialled our Beta version in Kaitaia when we visited Kaitaia Primary School at the end of 2015.
CURIOUS MINDS is about deep and speculative interest in the world around us. We have developed the 4P programme designed to assist 9-13 year olds to see the world in a curious way so that they are better able to be creative, cope with adversity and challenge existing mental models that enhance "feeling good and doing good".
4P stands for Purpose, Perception, Pausing and Positivity. Awareness of these 4P's can enable students to develop a more curious outlook on life, enhancing their ability to be like a sponge to take a broader worldview.
The programme is being develped by Professor Kathryn Pavlovich who is patron of Child Flight Charitable Trust.
